The answer is no unless your car supports flexible fuel engine
system. Using E85 can cause engine damage, reduced fuel efficiency, and
performance issues.
So, what to do if you already filled up your car with E85 gasoline by mistake?
- Small amount or a little bit: You can try diluting the fuel by filling the rest of the tank with regular gasoline and may expect low performance, running rough, misfiring, or showing a check engine light.
- Full or large amount: Unfortunately, you got bad luck and need to either drain the fuel system yourself or bring the car to a mechanic shop for a complete fuel system drain service.
